Forming Fruit of Passion Fruit

Passion fruit has been a weekly harvest here since we came back. The plants seems to be fruiting all year round here. The plants grow very tall here and some of the fruits are too up high to pick. I have been fascinated on how the fruit forms by stages from the pretty passion fruit plant.
A small little fruit forming in the centre of the passion fruit flower.
  The middle one is unsuccessful?
Passion fruits looks ornamental like decoration light bulbs around the pergola.
Passion fruits from the garden to share.
Anyone can guess what fruit is in the orange basket?

Hi Diana; Some fab photos there - the Passion-fruit flowers are so pretty and photogenic. Is the fruit in the orange basket the Cashew nut?

Aren't passion flowers bizarre? I read somewhere once that their name comes from the cross in the center of the flower. ("Passion" meaning Jesus carrying the cross.)

our passionfruit also grows very high but drops to the ground when ready to eat. I love the scent of the flowers, and you have me stumped with the fruit in the basket - no idea.

I like the plant itself. It's very cool looking and a bonus for the fruit. Not sure what else you have there though.

We have a passion flower in our garden but the leaves are a different shape - ours are fingered. It even has some buds now in the depth of winter.

I always harvest my passionfruit by picking the fruits up off the ground which means it doesn't matter how high up they grow as long as they fall to the gorund when ripe. Great flowers.

Those are beautiful flowers and the bonus of fruit is amazing. Absolutely no idea what is in the orange basket. You have so many items that are not to be found in my growing region that I always find it interesting to read and learn about them from your blog.

These are so easy to go and fruit so much. I haven't planted one in my garden because I really don't know how to use the fruit.
