‘Red Stem Welsh’ spring onions

RED WELSH (2)  Above picture, ‘Red Stem Welsh’ growing in July.

Since this variety is grown throughout winter the stem turns deep red compare grown during warm weather.

I like fresh spring onions. You can hear the crispiness when you are slicing spring onion on the chopping board. Oh what nice music.

Your spring onion looking good. You are pretty good in gardening. Still collecting horse manure?

It never occured to me that spring onions turn red during the cold season. I love spring onions on anything, including pizza!

Malar~ Hopefully my husband catch some big fish tomorrow when he goes fishing with friends.

One~ I still have 2 sacks of horse manure. Maybe after 1 left I will go get some more.

Rainfield61~ Hot porridge seems a good idea for next week menu.

Autumn Belle~ I have not tried spring onions on pizza. Maybe next time when we do pizza here.

Kirigalpoththa~ Thank you for visiting my young blog.
